Directed by Bill Haney. I liked the story of Jim's youth, his family and his deep motivation to become a scientist who helps people. A very well-made documentary on the discovery of some of the fundamental mechanisms that have led to the creation of successful immunotherapy drugs that are now part of our arsenal to effectively fight certain types of cancers. During rehab, their relationship falls apart, and Maya forms an unlikely friendship with Freddy.

With Jim Allison, Sharon Belvin, Eric Benson, Woody Harrelson. my daughter recommended watching this because she’s working on a project related to Mr Allison’s current work. Within the last 35 years, six of them have committed suicide. Truly an amazing film and what a dear man!
