Pride The strangest and maybe my favorite story is of the artist who uses magic to get revenge of the people who ripped him off because voodoo is his first line of defense. Directed by Roy Ward Baker. The final story shows us an artist who gains the power of voodoo in his brush hand whilst in Haiti. Uneven horror anthology with a strong cast. The fourth story is about two con men who set up an elaborate insurance scam. The Vault of Horror fait suite à War against Crime et pour cela commence au numéro 12. Again its an English film so we are treated to some more A class casting.

An uneven anthology of EC horror comics stories from Amicus, this time directed by Roy Ward Baker who had worked on 'The Avengers' and was responsible for some of the best Hammer movies ('Quatermass And The Pit', 'The Vampire Lovers', 'Dr Jekyll And Sister Hyde'). They get out and see a table waiting for them, so they sit and begin to recount nightmares that haunt them. August 12, 2018 In this particular British anthology of horror stories made in 1973 by Amicus Productions five men from all walks of life are locked in the basement vault of a central London building. The film is full of well known faces in supporting roles including Denholm Elliot, Glynis Johns, Edward Judd, and even a surprise appearance from Robin Nedwell and Geoffrey Davies from the "Doctor" TV shows, playing yes, medical students. Maybe it's because there's five stories instead of four, and is therefore a bit rushed in places, but a lot of it has to do with the uncertainty of the tone. Unusual circumstances see the buried man dug up but fate has a final trick in store for both of the men.
Cinerama Releasing Corporation This and 'Asylum' are great films and have a great atmosphere throughout.
Five strangers (Donald Massey, Terry-Thomas, Curt Jurgens, Michael Craig, Tom Baker) enter a lift which unexpectedly takes them down to a basement. We want to hear what you have to say but need to verify your email.
I wish they'd made an updated version with British talent today. Up first is a basic plot involving a man going to a small village to kill his sister so he will get their recently deceased fathers estate. I really like Amicus' portmanteau films. All the stories have their moments but the final one starring Tom Baker (just before he became Dr Who #4) is the most effective.
