The show might be a bit much at times, but it feels unique and interesting, and I find myself thinking about and analyzing it long after finishing it, so I'd say it's worth the watch.The reason it's highly rated is that it's an adaptation of a novel, so you're getting a complete story with an actual ending. While searching further, I found that there are also online reviews that for some reason seem to hate the series with a passion. I couldn't be bothered by the end but I didn't really think it was bad even then.Without getting into spoilers, the reason a lot of people hate it it's because of certain Yuri/yaoi relationships that are there in the background for a couple of episodes.
