There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, but to be perfectly honest we were riding all day almost every day for 2 weeks, so normally we would only stop off for a beer on a way back after day's riding, and although intentions were there - we could not be asked to go back to town after dinner, because we had all we needed in the chalet - honestly fridge with beer, wine and soft drinks, very comfortable sofas, balcony with a view of surrounding mountains and Netflix! When it comes to accommodation the Chalet is really nice, decorated in traditional Alpine style and always immaculate. Chris tagged along to couple of enduro rides with us as well as to the full Portes du Soleil loop which was great - the more the merrier when one has to actually pedal up the hill, and also he is super knowledgeable of many local places and stories which also lightens up the pedalling part :D (as you can tell I am not that much of a fan of big uphill pedalling) If you are more interested in running Beth is a keen trail runner knowledgeable of trails around.
